About us

PANGEA

Founded in 2012 by Serge Fortin, farmer and Charles Sirois, an entrepreneur from Saguenay, PANGEA is a Quebec agricultural operating company proposing a new entrepreneurship model, in partnership with farmers/partners and local communities. In practice, it creates joint ventures where agricultural partners retain 100% ownership of their land.

The PANGEA model is an alternative, among others, which complements existing options for farmers.

PANGEA and its partners prioritize the production of cereal crops for human consumption, of seed and organic quality.

What makes PANGEA different

  • PANGEA works in partnership with the farmers in the operations.
  • PANGEA invests in equity, not debt, thus sharing risk.
  • Agricultural partners retain 100% ownership of their land.
  • Purchases (inputs, seeds, fertilizer, etc.) are made locally in the regions by our agricultural partners.
  • Farmers receive a rental fee for their land.
